As uncle Jerad and I were driving past the Christmas light display that you joined us in going to for 3 years, he reminded me of the times that we enjoyed going through the display. He brought up the last time we went through and we were worried that we might run out of gas in the truck. We talked about you saying the angry elf was daddy and the hot tub Santa. We talked about spilled Steak ‘n Shake and pasta con broccoli. We talked most about how we’d give anything to have you come to our house again and stay the night. We could wear matching outfits and do our makeup, you probably wouldn’t have to sit on the bathroom counter anymore and would be teaching me tricks.
Mommy posted a picture of you with makeup on and I smiled, makeup was our thing. Mommy always said that you had to learn from me but she would have learned to love all things contour and beauty blenders.
So this Christmas as I put on my makeup I’ll remember the times were we sat in the bathroom talking and giggling. I hope you know how beautiful you are with and without makeup. We miss you so much.
